EDUCATION L.E.E.R(Lifting Every Elementary Reader) is our volunteer-led, after-school reading program for struggling elementary readers that happens every Monday-Thursday. There will be three different options: in-person at the surrounding elementary schools, in-person at SpringSpirit, and virtually. Final schedule is tentative based on family needs and help required.
Volunteer Commitment: One day a week for an hour MentoringSpringSpirit offers one-on-one mentoring relationships for youth in 3rd-12th grade. Mentors and mentees learn from each other by building a trusting relationship where mentors can support, challenge, and encourage mentees with their pursuits in life.
Volunteer Commitment: -Commit to meeting with mentee once a month -Must be 20 years old MinistryFriday Night Live (FNL)
Our weekly ministry and community engagement event for the whole family to be a part of. Every Friday night we rotate our kids through various stations of games and a Biblical message. At the end of the evening, we serve dinner to all the families. Friday Night Live will start up again on September 9, 2022. Volunteer needs for Friday Night Live include: -Guest speakers for the ministry message rotation -Praise and worship leaders for the ministry rotation (once a month) -Sponsor the community meal for one Friday night -Facilitate game stations SpringSpirit Small Groups SpringSpirit hosts weekly small group Bible studies for kids in 6th-12th grade. Small group involves a snack, a game, a short Scripture lesson, and discussion groups. Our discussion groups are gender and age-specific with an average of 7 kids per group. We are in need of small group discussion leaders. SpringSpirit provides an easy-to-lead curriculum with discussion questions and scripture focus. Small groups will start at the beginning of September. Volunteer need for Small Groups: Small group discussion leaders Ideal commitment is once a week for the entire school year (90 minutes per week) Middle School: Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30pm or Wednesdays from 7:00pm -8:00pm High School: Thursdays from 5:30-7:00pm or 6:00-7:30pm |
