Literacy 

​We want all of our elementary participants to finish 5th grade reading on or above grade level.  Our two reading programs are designed to support that goal.  

Reading Intervention (L.E.E.R "Lifting Every Elementary Reader" Program

Grades 1 - 5

​A program designed to support children reading below grade level.  Participants in grades 1-5 meet in volunteer-led small groups to practice reading & comprehension skills and have fun while doing it! There is an easy structure and lesson for volunteers to follow. Kinder Reading Program

Kindergarten – 1st grade

Trained literacy teachers work with small groups of kindergarten students in order to create a strong literacy foundation.  Participants who complete the program should graduate on or above reading level.
