Pathways to T-2-4
Our college and career preparation program for our middle school and high school participants in grades 8 – 12. All programming is designed to help SpringSpirit youth determine their post-high school plans. Our goal is to have each participant graduate high school and go on to some form of further education - either a Technical, 2-Year, or 4-year school or enlist in the military. We do this primarily through two programs:
Career Speaker Series
Grades 6 - 12
This program is a vehicle for middle and high school students to explore the wide array of career opportunities available to them as adults. Participants are invited to join our monthly Career Speaker Series on Zoom to hear from professionals about their career choices and the paths they took to get there.
C.A.P. (College Acceptance Program)
Grades 8-11
These grade level meetings are held three times a year with the intention of growing college and career awareness starting in 8th grade. The meetings are designed for participants to work with their parents and mentors to take the academic and self-development steps needed at each grade level to work toward a post-high school pathway of a technical, 2-year or 4-year school, or military service.
C.A.P. (College Acceptance Program)
Grade 12
We support Seniors at SpringSpirit with individualized help in identifying and applying to technical, 2-year or 4-year schools or starting a military career upon high school graduation. We also work with our seniors to help them search for and secure financial aid.
Tutorials and Study Skills
Grades 6-12
After collecting and tracking the report card grades of our participants throughout the school year, we identify possible tutoring needs and develop a plan for struggling students to receive some form of intervention – either tutoring or study skill support.
